He is very knowledgeable about the French language, and understands the difficulty of learning it, as only someone who has gone through the same challenging process of learning French as a foreign language themselves can appreciate. His lessons are personalised and engaging, and he is always ready to explain any linguistic concept in as much detail as I need, with additional material always at-hand to assist. I’ve benefitted greatly from Matt’s approach to teaching, and I would recommend him to anyone looking to improve their abilities in French.

After a year, I can say with full confidence that I am not afraid to ask where I can find almond milk in the store, I’m able to give advice to a lady that is looking for the correct bus stop, and, what’s the most important, I have many French friends whose talks I can understand. If you are motivated to learn, Matt will create you great working conditions and organize your studies so that you can be very proud of your French language level a year later, just like I am today 🙂

The pace of introducing new subjects and the communication were the factors that made my progress really quick while having two classes per week!

I only regret that Matt isn’t yet familiar with other languages I’m learning at the moment… ; ) but I hope he’ll “catch up” quickly.

He doesn’t put pressure on you and he works with your pace. Within a few lessons I was able to have a basic conversation without a problem! No doubt, I’m 100% satisfied.

Over the next 12 months, we had 8-10 lessons per month on average. The atmosphere during classes was always relaxed and, at the same time quite intense, focused on the rapid development of all the necessary skills. I also appreciate Matt’s ability to pass his knowledge. Never had he a problem with explaining all the grammatical doubts in a transparent way. Also, his French pronunciation was highly appreciated by my friend, who is a native French speaker.

I consider the classes with Matt as an excellent investment in my personal development, which had measurable benefits for me both in my personal and professional life. Thanks to them, I am currently a student at the University of Orleans, and I’m successfully dealing with the use of the language on a daily basis. During our classes, we studied not only typical everyday life language subjects but also textbooks related to my hobby, i.e. aviation. We got through manuals for radiocommunication and operational procedures in VFR according to ICAO regulations.
